Best tour ever! This tour provides spectacular scenery. We were able to go at our own pace, and enjoy coffee and later a delicious Greek lunch right on the ocean. Our driver (Theo) attended to all our needs. The day was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable.

Best tour ever! This was truly one of the best tours we have ever taken. The scenery was spectacular. Our driver (Theo) attended to all our needs (coffee, lunch, restrooms) to create a very relaxing and memorable experience. I highly recommend this tour if you want a relaxing day with gorgeous scenery.

Such a rewarding day We had an absolutely incredible day with our guide George seeing these sights. It was obvious that he loves his job and is fascinated by history and culture. He was also so kind and attentive to my 8 year old son. It thought it might be too many sites to see in a day with a kid, but we both stayed interested the whole time and ended the day tired but happy. We are very grateful! Highly recommend.

Great trip Great side trip from Athens to see the lovely sunset from the Temple of Poseidon. Our driver and guide, George, was charming and well-informed across many topics, and did a stop along the way to show us a point of interest given our conversation en route. Gave us helpful advice on how to manage the queue at the monument as well.

Highly Recommend, beautiful scenery and wonderful experience Our driver was Theo and he was so accommodating and knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed the day with him. We especially loved our lunch at the small fishing town. The food was excellent and the owner was very kind. We were able to see places and learn about the land where we otherwise would never have known. A truly magical day. Thank you Theo!

Swim in the crystal clear Lake Vouligameni, see the Temple of Poseidon, gaze on beatiful beaches...take this tour, it is awesome My daughter and I had a great experience with Theo, our tour guide, on this lovely day tour. Theo picked us up at our hotel in Athens and we began the drive to Lake Vouligameni. Theo took us on a very scenic drive along the coastal highway. We saw some very beautiful beaches and marinas. Theo pointed out the new developments and showed us the beautiful boats and beaches along the way. We arrived at the lake and viewed it from an upper railing. Very beautiful and the waters looked tempting. Upon the advice of Theo, we decided to go to the Temple of Poseidon first in order to allow for the waters of the lake to benefit from a few hours of midday sun to heat up. We drove a bit more and stopped at Savalas for freddo cappucinos. Very nice place for coffee and the owner gave my daughter a bag of chocolate covered Greek raisins, so amazing. We continued on the Temple of Poseidon. Upon arriving, Theo waited in the parking lot while we bought our tickets and walked up to the temple. It was quite a sight. The temple was magnificent and after about 45 minutes of pictures and walking around, we returned to the parking lot. As we drove, Theo told us the stories associated with the Temple of Poseidon. He is a great storyteller and conversationalist. He also took several scenic turns and showed us the beauty of Greece's beaches several more times. Upon our second arrival at Lake Vouligameni, Theo left us at the entrance and we purchased our tickets and went in. It was not very busy on this Tuesday afternoon, so I found two chairs and waited while my daughter changed into her bathing suit. An attendant came by and left a menu for me. My daughter appeared and went down to the water for a chilly dip (It is early March after all!) She enjoyed the small fishes that gathered around her feet to give her a pedicure. The water is very clear and she swam for about 30 minutes before getting too cold and coming out to sit in the sun. We ordered some fries and beverages and spent about an hour here. After my daughter changed, we returned to the car. The final stop was at the Panorama Restaurant for a late lunch. My daughter and I had sea bass which was delicious and then baklava as a finishing dish. After the wonderful meal, Theo began the drive back to Athens. It was very pleasant day and Theo was a very pleasant guide and driver. Theo ended the ride at our hotel by giving my daughter a box of loukoumi which was a very nice treat! I highly recommend this tour and touring company. Be sure to ask for Theo, he is great.

Wonderful day in Meteora We had an excellent day visiting the Meteora monasteries. This area is unbelievable and pictures do not do it justice. We had an excellent driver, Theo. He was personable and knowledgeable, in all things Greek! We also enjoyed a traditional Greek meal in Kalabaka before we headed back to Athens. We would certainly contact Theo again when back in Athens.

Just OK Our driver was prompt and very entertaining. He was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of insight into Greek life and Greek society. He stopped along the way to allow us to photograph the coast line. The tour rates only as “average” because the destination itself was very much a tourist-trap. The oohing & awing about the beautiful sunset is over-rated and it became quite chilly as the sun was setting, and downright cold after it had set. A visit in the middle of summer might yield a different response, but the Cape itself was a letdown during the early season. Also, the driver suggested a seafood restaurant on the way home, and it was clearly a prearranged stop. The food at the restaurant was mediocre, at best, and overpriced.. There were “no smoking” signs all over the inside of the restaurant, but clearly the restaurant employees and our driver did not comply with the prohibition as the smell of smoke was prevalent upon entering the facility, and one could see the employees sitting under the signs and smoking, even after we entered. Our driver asked if we enjoyed the food - and we did not register any complaints - as it was evident he was affiliated with the restaurant. Still, he was the saving factor to the whole day, and got us home safely and according to the schedule. This would likely be a better tour if you skipped the offer to stop for “dinner” after viewing the Cape and The Poseidon exhibit.

Wonderful private tour This was a fantastic experience! My partner and I had Theo as our driver. He was a wonderful host and offered us great recommendations. Theo was very friendly and shared plenty of information about the area and its history. He even stopped to get us coffee and made lunch reservations for us. The lake was beautiful, and we had a perfect swim, even on a chilly March day. The Temple of Poseidon was stunning. It truly was the perfect day.

A royal experience Although I have been to many ruins, this one was special. I did not realize how important Delphi was globally and what people had to go through to get there. Our driver, Theo, was so knowledgeable and had a wonderful pride for his countries’s history. This brought everything to life. I would recommend that you go to the museum first, it doesn’t take long and it really helps understand what you’re seeing at the site. The restaurant that Theo picked for us had good food, wine, and amazing views. I would recommend the dry rosé, it was very much like an orange wine. Two more recommendations. First, it’s a very long day so I wouldn’t plan anything big for night that you take the tour. Also, some of the terrain is a bit difficult so good walking shoes are very important. Theo treated us like royalty. I highly recommend this tour.

Great service and driver, Giorgos was fantastic. Our driver Giorgos was so kind and understanding with our mix up in pick up times. He promptly arrived once the misunderstanding was cleared up. Did a great job driving and car was clean as well as having water available to us. During the drive to our hotel he pointed out points of interest and gave a little history. Spoke great English. Would highly recommend this service.

Just go... and use Crispy Local We highly recommend this experience. Our guide was Georgios who in addition to being a good driver was a wealth of knowledge about Greek history and mythology. The drive down the coast to the Cape was breathtaking and the site itself should be included on any visit to Athens. The company was one of the best tour guides I have every used. Booking was easy and the communications were timely and helpful.

A great half day trip Excellent half day trip, would definitely include the temple of posiedon as its worth seeing. Our guide arrived promptly and was on time for the pick up from the lake. He was really knowledgeable and brought our trip to life. We enjoyed relaxing by the lake, it was a little cold for us to swim in but there were braver people enjoying the water. We chose to sit on the ledge and dabble our legs in the water and watch the fish. The food was lovely too. All in all a great day out.

Awesome tour with George the best tour guide. Hello, our guide, Mr George was awesome. The best tour guide we had in our vacation in Greece. He is so polite, well educated and cultured. And he was extremely flexible which is a must in a private tour. We loved the temple of Poseidon. What an awesome location for great pictures. Blessings!!!!

Relaxing wellness experience for the whole family We visited Lake Vouliagmeni Thermal Spa as a family and enjoyed the calm, natural setting. The warm water and open surroundings made the visit comfortable and easygoing for all ages. The area felt clean and well managed, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed without feeling crowded. It was a pleasant way for our family to spend time together while enjoying a peaceful wellness experience near Athens.

Splendid way to spend your day If you want to learn about olive oil production on the small farm then Bio Farm Private Olive Oil Tasting, Farm to Fork Meal & Temple of Poseidon tour is a way to go. The tour we took in January 2026 was splendid. The driver Giorgos was friendly, knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions about Greek culture, history and food. The ride along the coast was smooth, pleasant and easy. The communication before the tour, pick up time and check in done in a very friendly manner and on time. The bio farm was well organized, the oil tasting was very educational. The conversation with the owner of the farm has been extremely interesting and helpful. Overall I am pleased with entire experience.

Must do tour This tour was wonderful and I highly recommend. We were picked up right at the hotel by Theo our driver and guide. He gave a lot of information and history of the areas that were driven by. He made a few stops at locations to take pictures before getting to the main attraction, The Temple of Poseidon. Since we went in the slow season, there were only 6 other people at the temple and we were able to get great photos and spend time looking at the views. On the way back to Athens we went to a delicious fresh seafood restaurant that had the best fish I have ever had. Afterwards we were dropped off back at the hotel. Great way to see other sites outside of Athens. I highly recommend!

Great half-day trip from Athens - excellent driver, beautiful views, delicious dinner We loved our trip out to the Temple of Poseidon with Mr. George. He was a fountain of knowledge and made the whole visit very interesting and enjoyable. The entry to the Temple of Poseidon itself is a little hectic - most people arrive in the hour before sunset. There is a big line for tickets and they close the gates 20 mins before sunset so people were jostling and cutting in line to make sure they got in. All of this is beyond Crispy Local’s control of course, and Mr. George had given us good instructions to make sure we got straight in line to get in. If we went out there again, I’d consider not getting tickets into the Temple area and instead watch the sunset from hill next to it so you could see it set over the temple.We stopped at an excellent seafood restaurant on the water during our drive back to Athens. We picked out several fish for them to cook for us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal.This was a great way to explore an area beyond Athens for a few hours. And the views of the Aegean Sea on the drive were beautiful. Thank you to Mr. George for a lovely trip.

Must see!!! Will not regret it. Plus with the private experience makes it more feel personalized. Such a magical place. Our driver George Apostolou was great. He was accommodating and an experienced driver even with the intermittent rain. Plus with all the road closure and detour we had to take he got us there in a timely manner safely. Also suggested a place to have some authentic Greek restaurant for lunch prior to us going to the monastery called Taverna Panellinio. So good and very delicious with large servings for a great price. Meteora is a must see. If your able to have George as your driver your in luck.

Awesome day tour We booked a trip and Alex was our driver and guide. He was amazing, patient and incredibly knowledgeable of the areas we were visiting. The spa was too cold for us in the evening so we skipped it and continued visiting other monuments and important areas. Highly recommend this day tour, and if you can, get Alex!!

Private Car to Temple of Poseidon What a wonderful way to end my time in Athens. Head to the Temple of Poseidon for the sunset, trust me you won’t be disappointed. I booked the 4:30 time slot at the Templ, and with the 1.5 hour drive from Athens was picked up at 2:45. My driver Giorgos was so nice and picked me up promptly at my hotel and dropped me back off. You have an option to stop for dinner or gelato on the way back if you please.This tour is a great way to get a private car out to the Temple and drive along the coast. Would recommemd

I lovely day at the heart of the Peloponnese! The trip was wonderful! Theo was amazing! He picked us up right from our doorstep on time with a big smile and big heart! We had great conversations on the road on politics, history, cultural and many other topics which was great. On top of his description, he prepared a two-page info sheets to read before each site which we found very helpful. He was very attentive, accommodating and went way and beyond to make us comfortable. We are a family of 4, with two kids 14 and 8. We all enjoyed the trip very much. Highly recommended.

Amazing trip! Our driver/guide, Mr. George, picked us up on time in very comfortable van from the meeting point. We are a family of 4 with two kids, 14 and 8. The day turned out to be amazing. First Mr. George was phenomenal! He is courteous and accommodating. Made us feel comfortable and encouraged questions. The kids loved him! We had lovely discussions on variety of topics which was a welcomed bonus. Second, the combination of the archaeological sites was perfect. It’s those sites you usually see on documentaries and in books. Now you get to see them with your own eyes! We are grateful to Mr. George and the tour company for those unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

A Day Trip to Remember Our day trip to the Peloponnese region was memorable and filled with newly acquired knowledge. The scenery along the roads to Mycenae was beautiful with rolling hills and vast space. Homer’s The Iliad vividly came to life, or at least the part about the kingdom of the mythical Agamemnon. The archaeological site, situated in gorgeous landscape, was quite a sight to immerse. The amphitheater at Epidaurus was as advertised – high-fidelity acoustic engineering! It was mind boggling how sound was able to traverse across distance, yet maintaining its sound fidelity. No amplification equipment needed, just perfect sound echoes bouncing and perhaps dancing within the confinement of the amphitheater. Nafplio harbor was beautiful with gigantic and glamorous private ships in docking. Such is the life style of someone fortunate enough with so much extra money to spare!George, our driver and guide, was vastly knowledgeable and accommodating. He was never in a rush, therefore gave us ample time to explore. His knowledge about the ancient Greek classic was so vast, keeping us engaged during the long roundtrips. We asked illuminating questions – admittedly pointed ones at times – and were given honest and thought-provoking answers. We came away appreciating philosophy, mathematics, physics, and chemistry!It was a great trip. We highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience local Greek life outside of Athens city. And of course, for those who are interested in classical literature and this birthplace of Western civilization.
