A Perfect Blend of Ancient History, Natural Beauty & Authentic Greek Hospitality Our Lake Vouliagmeni Thermal Spa and Temple of Poseidon Private Full-Day Tour was one of the highlights of our time in Greece, and so much of that was thanks to our incredible driver, Dimitris. From the moment he picked us up, Dimitris made us feel like welcomed guests rather than tourists. He was warm, personable, and an exceptional driver who shared stories and local insights throughout the day. His genuine pride in Greece made every stop even more meaningful. The Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion was absolutely breathtaking. Perched dramatically on a cliff nearly 200 feet above the Aegean Sea, the temple was built around 444–440 BC during the Golden Age of Athens. Dedicated to Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, it served as both a place of worship and a landmark for sailors returning home. Standing among the remaining Doric columns while gazing out over the endless blue waters, it was easy to understand why this location has inspired visitors for more than 2,400 years. The combination of archaeology, mythology, and stunning coastal scenery makes it an unforgettable experience. Our stop at Lake Vouliagmeni was unlike anything we’ve experienced before. The natural mineral waters were wonderfully relaxing, but the biggest surprise was the tiny Garra rufa fish that gently nibbled and tickled our feet as we soaked in the lake. It was a strange sensation at first, but quickly became part of the fun and made for plenty of laughter. Surrounded by limestone cliffs and lush greenery, the lake feels like a hidden oasis just outside Athens. To top off an already incredible day, Dimitris recommended lunch at 4 Brothers, a beautiful waterfront restaurant serving incredibly fresh seafood. It turned out to be one of our favorite meals in Greece. The setting was stunning, the staff were wonderfully friendly, and every dish reflected the freshness and simplicity of authentic Greek coastal cuisine. If you’re looking for a tour that combines ancient history, breathtaking scenery, relaxation, and authentic local experiences, this is the one to book. And if you’re fortunate enough to have Dimitris as your driver, you’re in for an unforgettable day. His kindness, professionalism, and local knowledge elevated an already fantastic itinerary into a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Wonderful day trip out of Athens We had a fabulous day visiting the Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio! Theo was excellent. Pick up was smooth and easy at our hotel. Theo shared great information with us during the drive that helped us in our visit to the sites. This day was a highlight of our trip and I highly recommend it!

Thank you Theo! We enjoyed our experience with Theo very much! Not only he is funny, knowledgeable and knows all of the hidden gems of Athens! He is very kind and caring as well, he helped us to minimize the time of waiting and traveling between the amazing places to temple of Poseidon and very tasty local restaurant and gelato place. When we are back next time, we surely will be contacting Theo again. Thank you Theo for your amazing work, we truly enjoyed it!

The trip is more than just the destination … Our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Sounio with Theo. We fully expected the temple of Poseidon to be amazing, which it was, but we also really enjoyed the chance to get out of Athens for an evening and see the beach towns on the way. Had no idea that this is what exists just outside the city. The stop at the seaside restaurant was also one of the best meals we had on the trip with huge portions of vey tasty fresh seafood and a great view. 100% recommend!

Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon One of the best sunsets we saw while we were in Athens! Our driver Dimitris was great, the restaurant he took us to for dinner was amazing, he was professional, spoke to much of the local history and traditions and followed up with just good conversation. We were surprised with a box of local candies at the end of the experience. It was a perfect way to end our trip. If you a great sunset and a great experience… don’t hesitate to book this one!

Magical Sunset at Cape Sounio — An Unforgettable Evening ★★★★★ Excellent What a magical evening! Our guide Harry made the whole experience wonderful — knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had a great time from start to finish. Watching the sunset over the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio was absolutely breathtaking, and the drive along the coast getting there was gorgeous in its own right. We followed it up with a delicious seaside dinner and grabbed gelato on the way back — the perfect ending to a perfect night. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens. An unforgettable experience!

Very knowledgeable, local guide for tour of the temple ofPoseidon Theo was our guide, he was from the area and knew the Riviera very well. He had lots of interesting stories. He definitely kept us entertained on our tour to the temple of Poseidon. He also took us to a greatrestaurant afterwards a family owned local place. The food was fantastic. Would highly recommend having him as my tour guide again.

Awesome full day tour of Corinth, Mycenae, and Nafplio! We had a fantastic day with George- he was an amazing guide; we had a fantastic time on our full day tour of Corinth, Nafplio, and Mycenae. Breath-taking views in Arcadia region + A nice peek in the traditional villages We booked three consecutive days of private tour with Crispy Local and this is the second day. We enjoyed this trip a lot with Dimitris as our driver. 🙂 It was a wonderful and relaxing drive to the region seeing a different side of the countryside in Greece with rugged mountains, valleys, the traditional villages etc. We are also pleased to have Dimitris as our driver as he is friendly, welcoming and easy to spend time with. 😊 He is also knowledgeable about many things (history of Arcadia region or the places we drove past e.g. Ancient Corinth, Greek Revolution of 1821 among others.). For all three days that we did the tour with Crispy Local, both drivers (Harry and Dimitris) are welcoming, informative and the whole tours were handled professionally. I highly recommend Crispy Local. :)

Impressive Meteora monasteries infrastructure on top of cliffs! We booked three consecutive days of private tour with Crispy Local and this is the last day. Like the previous trip, enjoyed also this trip with Dimitris as our driver. 🙂As expected from previous experience, he is so knowledgeable and shares gladly with us information about the areas we pass by. We also covered different topics of Greek life. So interesting! The benefit of taking private tour is one can really take good time to walk around as one visit different places. In addition, there are so many unique places (with narrow, downhill, uphill roads) that we visited that we would not otherwise visit with a big, guided tour. One of the most memorable parts of the trip for me was seeing ancient copies of Codex from the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in Meteora. As previously commented in my other reviews, for all three days that we did the tour with Crispy Local, both drivers (Harry and Dimitris) are welcoming, informative and the whole tours were handled professionally. I highly recommend Crispy Local. 🙂

Amazing Peloponesse !!! We booked three consecutive days of private tour with Crispy Local upon recommendation by a dear Greek friend, and this is the first day. I had visited Peloponnese back in 1996, remembered it to be a beautiful place and hence, eager to return with my son. The historical sights in Peloponnese delivered as expected. 😊 Harry, our assigned driver, made the tour even better as we felt very much comfortable and at ease with his company. He is so easy to talk to, funny/good sense of humour, knowledgeable, and a good driver. He even made it a point that we get to see a good view as the boat crossed the Corinth Canal. We appreciated all his extra efforts to make our trip very special. He and my son also had really good conversation while I took a short nap on the way back (after a long but wonderful day). Very pleased to have done the tour with Harry. Awesome Meteora day trip. Wonderful full day. Amazing knowledgeable and very helpful Nathan was my guide and excellent driver. Fantastic scenery and great inside local knowledge re monastery sites. Highly recommend spending the money and saving time with this service. There are many large coach trips with lots of people This is the perfect experience witnessing Meteora.

Fantastic tour with great photo stops Theo was fantastic. We had a great time. We weren’t rushed and he showed us places along the way that we didn’t expect to see. We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour. All 6 adults and 2 kids had a blast! Our entire family had such an amazing experience! All 6 adults and 2 kids absolutely loved the history lesson George gave us on the drive - making the long drive actually enjoyable. He explained the history of meteora and everything we saw along the way, even stopping in some scenic spots along the way! Absolutely recommend!!!!!

Highlights of Athens! What an amazing day for our family!! Our tour guide for the day Harry was exceptional! What a great way to see many things in Athens in a day! Lake Vouliagmeni is a great way to start the morning and so beautiful! Nice to be there early in the morning with pretty much the whole lake to ourselves for a short while! The water is the perfect temperature and the fish that nibble on your feet are a fun feature! We had about an hour stop at the Temple of Poseidon and then on to lunch! Harry recommended a lovely seaside restaurant with excellent fresh fish!! On the way back towards the city we made a quick picture stop at the Olympic stadium and Lycabettus hill. Harry was so kind and caring and we felt like he really got to know us as a family! He is very knowledgeable about Greek history and must visit places for first time visitors! Highly recommend this tour and request Harry as your guide! Thank you so much for an unforgettable day!

Monemvasia is like no other ! A must see! Fantastic tour. Worth the drive. The olive oil museum is very well done and informative. Sparta was interesting. The highlight was Monemvasia! Wow. Try to spend most your time here! The car was excellent, the driver , Dimetri was courteous and informative.

Great guides We did 2 tours with crispy local this time in Greece because they did so great last year. This year was also great. Great tour to Temple of Poseidon Great visit to the Temple of Poseidon. We had 5 hours to fill in before our flight from Athens. Picked up from the cruise port at Piraeus in a lovely Mercedes Benz. Driver Georgis had excellent English. He told us music history as we drove along the Athens beach line coast to Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon. The Temple was not crowded and had easy steps to reach the summit. Fabulous views across the bay as well. Afterwards we had time for lunch and Georgis took us to a waterfront restaurant with an authentic Greek seafood lunch. Delicious.

Fantastic day for those who love archeology and Greek mythology! The experience was great! Mr George is a very knowledgeable and pleasant guide. He recommended a stop to the archaeological museum of Thebes which was amazing and gave us extra water when dropping us off at Delphi. Didn’t do lunch because we had spent so much time in Thebes and then died on the climb at Delphi, lol. Overall, it was great! Highly recommend!! (George did give a neighborhood restaurant recommendation for dinner)
