Private Day Trip to Meteora The Private Day Trip to Meteora offerred by Crispy Local is highly recommended. We had a Mercedes Benz sedan for our day trip and the drive was very comfortable in the fastest way possible. Our driver Dimitrios was not only driving but also acted as our tour guide and personal photographer. Other tours recommended an overnight stay near Meteora but after going on this day trip, we felt it was not necessary. We had the chance to visit three monasteries of our choosing and spend as much time as we needed at each one and we felt that was enough as it is not necessary to visit all 6. We had all the photo stops we wanted to capture photos of the other monasteries we did not visit including the wonderful landscapes in the area. We were back at our hotel well before dinner time. We had a wonderful day trip visit to Meteora. If the budget allows, the Private Day Trip to Meteora is worth it.

An Exceptional Experience Exploring Greece — Five Stars Our trip to Greece was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ioannis, George, Theo, and the entire team at Crispy Local! We arranged a personalized, multi-day itinerary that allowed us to experience so much of this beautiful country, from the incredible history of Athens to breathtaking destinations beyond the city. Our travels included private excursions, overnight tours, beautiful scenery, historic sites, and wonderful local experiences that made our trip incredibly special. What really sets Crispy Local apart is the level of personal attention and service. From the planning stages through the very last day of our trip, the company was always available by text to answer questions, address concerns, and make sure everything went smoothly. Having that kind of support while traveling in another country was invaluable. Our driver, George, was absolutely exceptional! We spent several days traveling together, including overnight excursions, and could not have asked for a better person to accompany us. He was professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient, and genuinely wonderful to spend time with. He made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout our journey. By the end of our travels, he felt more like a friend than simply our driver. We also had the pleasure of spending a lovely day exploring the beautiful Greek coastline with our driver, Theo. He made the day such an enjoyable experience, allowing us to take in the stunning coastal scenery and enjoy another wonderful side of Greece. We truly appreciated his kindness, professionalism, and the care he took to make our day special. A special thank-you to Ioannis for helping coordinate such a memorable experience. Unique Monasteries It was a really long drive, but our private driver Harry made it pleasant! The Monasteries were beautiful and so unique being on top of the cliffs. There is a lot of walking and a crazy amount of steps.

Great trip to Sparta and surrounding area. Harry was a great guide and he made extra effort to make sure we saw the things we wanted, skipped things we'd already seen and added some extra short stops of interest.

Friendly staff and great tour! My family and I really enjoyed our visit to the Temple of Poseidon! We had a private tour, and they were very flexible with our needs, including getting back into Athens on time for a dinner reservation. Theo was an excellent guide. He was a smooth driver, very friendly, a great communicator, and made sure to stop at scenic areas along the route. We were able to see the Temple of Poseidon and the cape during the sunset, and it was beautiful! I would highly recommend this tour if you would like to visit the Temple! It was perfect for our schedule and trip!!

Temple of Poseidon and thermal lake Had a wonderful day with our tour guide George. Started off at the Temple of Poseidon. Got their early before the crowds and the place almost to ourselves. Asked George for a little more time there because we were enjoying so much. He was so accommodating! Next stop was the Lake which was beautiful and along the way George told us so many interesting stories and explained the history of Greece. We even had time to stop in town and spend time at the shops. Def a highlight of our trip! Highly recommend esp if George is your tour guide!

Temple of Poseidon at Sunset We were so blessed to travel to Greece. We count Theo amongst our many blessings. We loved our first excursion with him, so we booked a second. He planned a very special evening for us and picked each of the spots we traveled to based upon his love for his country. Our evening together was a perfect ‘cherry on top’ for our Greek Adventure. Day Trip to Meteora from Athens with Theo Before boarding a cruise, we opted for a day-trip to Meteora from Athens. It was a long day, but an experience we are exceedingly grateful for. Our tour guide was Theo and he helped make our experience extra special. He made sure to explain history to us, take us to special locations for pictures, and ensure our every need/request was met. At one point, we only had US dollars and needed Euros. Theo took money out of his own wallet to cover us! The monasteries are incredible and the surrounding area is beautiful. By the end of the day, we booked with Theo for a second excursion between disembarkation and boarding our flight home. Thank you, Theo, for being a special part of our Greek Holiday!

Sunshine through the rain We had a lovely day with Harry. The weather wasn’t cooperating with our plans but we didn’t let that keep us from having fun. The drive to the lake was quick and filled with lots to see as we passed through the suburbs of Athens. Once we arrived at the lake, we decided it was too chilly and windy for our taste. So we looked around, took some photos and headed on toward Poseidon’s temple. We really enjoyed the scenic highway on the Aegean Sea coast. The water was so blue. Our guide, Harry even pulled over so we could get out of the car at a safe overlook site. Got some very pretty pictures. The Temple of Poseidon was very commanding and had nice interpretive markers plus a digital code that gave an audio tour of the site. The 20 Euro per person entry seemed high for the value of what was there. But we were not coming all that way to not pay and see it up close. The gift shop was closed when we were there, so no souvenir shopping. Their very scenic cafe was open. It served drinks and snacks. We used the restroom facilities and they were very clean. The ride back to Athens was filled with delightful conversation with Harry. We discussed Greek history, food, family traditions and even learned a few Greek words. Harry is such a kind and caring guide. He was very concerned that the weather was adversely affecting our tour. What can any of us do about rainy weather? We assured him we were fine and ready to head back to our hotel. We rode through one of the fancier neighborhoods south of Athens. Got to see some cute shops and restaurants. We decided not to get out of the car due to rain. Harry safely returned us to our hotels and we dashed inside to avoid getting wet. We would definitely take this tour again - but hopefully it would be on a sunnier day!

Great experience for a first time trip to Greece Our guide was beyond exceptional. Told us and showed us so many interesting things along the way to our destinations. Introduced us to an excellent restaurant with fresh caught fish by the owner of the business, also introduced us to freddo espressos. Would highly recommend this experience to everyone.

Must see Meteora with Johnathan from Crispy Local We had an amazing experience going to Meta aura in Greece. Nathan was our driver and our tour guide. He’s only in his 20s, however his knowledge and his travel guiding was like an old soul that had traveled many years. He was informative about the area history as well as world history, which added so much to our trip. He knew history he was friendly. He was polite and car was very clean. . He drove very safely and he knew so much history about the entire country of Greece as well as the place we were visiting, which is Meteora monasteries. that place is beautiful. I would strongly go there again. Everyone should see the beautiful mountains and monasteries at the top. It is a strenuous walk but worth every minute of it. We were happy with the entire experience. It exceeded our expectations.

Excursion rocks! This is a must do if you are in Athens. This was our favorite excursion that we did while we were in Athens. We spent three nights four days there. It also was the best meal we had there by far. Highly recommend trying to get Theo as your guide.

The BEST experience and the most Beatiful sites Wonderful and the most beautiful experience! Dimitris picked us up from our hotel and told us all about Athens on our way to see monasteries at meteora! We went to 3 and learned a lot and got a great work out. Lunch was at a spot he recommended and it was delicious we had two local dishes he recommended. He then dropped us off with a special gift. It was the best excursions I’ve booked ever!

Amazing trip to Meteora Harry was an absolutely amazing guide and driver! Despite the tour lasting 12 hours, the journey never felt long or tiring. Harry kept us engaged throughout with enlightening conversations, fascinating historical insights, and thorough explanations of the monasteries of Meteora. Memorable and worthwhile experience with a great guide Extremely enjoyable and memorable trip with our driver Theo. He stopped at many points of interest on the Athenian Riviera as we made our way to the Temple of Poseidon. Lovely visit at the Temple. Great seaside dinner on our return home. Wonderful day visiting monasteries! From beginning to end a wonderful experience! The monasteries are absolutely amazing. Dimitris our guide was incredibly helpful and basically dropped us off at the entrance to each one. There is quite a climb up stairs to get to the monasteries that are perched high on rocky outcroppings, so be prepared. It is well worth the effort! We also stopped at an incredible overlook that is not to be missed. After a full morning seeing the sights we relaxed in town for a delicious lunch. Dimitris was very friendly and ego. I only feel bad that I fell asleep on the ride back to Athens! Overall a great experience!! Highly recommend

A very pleasant day! Lake V is the Best! George was on time, waiting for us in our hotel lobby. He drove us to the lake and an ocean side restaurant - it such a nice day! This is our returning trip to Athens, and our second time of this exact tour. Last time, we loved Lake Vouliagmeni and we didn't have enough time (2 hours), so this time we double the time (3.5 hours) to spent at the lake and we still felt it was too short - but in a good way!. Because we oped to spend more time at the lake and then a leisurely lunch, we asked George to skip the Temple of Poseidon segment for our trip. We got to the lake at its opening hour. We were ensured entrance and we could pick the best seats. It is a popular destination and by noon, people were waiting in line to get in. I would recommend tell all members of your party that even if they don't swim, they can stand in the water and enjoy the mineral water. This is a nice break from the tours of the monuments and the frenzy of Athens. When you come out of lake water you will feel like a NEW PERSON!

Theo was the best guide EVER! Our full day tour with Theo surpassed our high expectations. In the past, we have chosen to “go it alone” or in small group tours, not knowing if the expense of a private tour was worth the cost. My wife and I can tell you that after traveling 12 hours with Theo in a very comfortable Mercedes SUV, I’m not sure if we’ll ever do another non-private tour again. We learned so much more about Greek culture, life in Greece today, and in the immediate past versus had we done the trip on our own or in a bus. Of course, we got the full rundown on all the historical sites. By the end of our 12 hours together, not only were we more knowledgeable but Greece, but we had gained a local friend. Thanks Theo for making our day in Meteora and the Monasteries really special. 5 star experience for sure! Jay and Diana

Our day tour with Nathan We had an amazing experience with our guide, Nathan! He was incredibly professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire day. What really stood out to us was how he made the experience feel completely personalized. Nathan truly allowed us to make the day about us—our interests, our pace, and the things we wanted to see and experience. He was there when we needed him, but never made us feel rushed or like we were on someone else’s schedule. His professionalism and genuine desire to make sure we had the best possible experience made the day so special. Great sites and spa experience to relax afterwards Georgos and Ionnis are a great company to deal with. They worked out every detail of our day very well. Our guide Georgos was an amazing guide very kind and informative and took us to each location. We only had to text him when we were on our own and he and his Mercedes van was there within 2 minutes. We highly recommend this company! We booked only the night before and they were there on time! We even received a gift of Greek Olive Oil and treats as a Thank you which we really appreciated and will enjoy! I would not hesitate to use them again.
